The Professional Beauty Association launches a series of career accelerators for the beauty business

New in 2023, these regional events from the PBA equip junior stylists with elevated business education to develop lasting, successful careers.

The Professional Beauty Association announced the Beauty Career Accelerator Series. This series is designed to give junior beauty professionals the tools they need to build successful careers in the salon business.

These full-day workshops, designed for junior stylists in salons (including new talent, Level I stylists and apprentices), are taught by local experts. These events, strategically located throughout the United States are one-day sessions that include networking opportunities. They aim to empower and equip talent in the industry to be the best.

Each session will be held from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM in all locations. Each program begins with a half-hour session on Artist Standards. This includes goal setting, career advancement, and how to achieve results. The group exercises will encourage participants to reflect on who they are as professionals, their commitment to the salon and themselves, and their overall responsibilities. The second part will be devoted to how to implement these goals in the salon and achieve career success. It will touch on topics such as consultation, client experience, rebookings, retention, ticket price increases, and product and services recommendations. The events will conclude with interactive activities where participants can network with educators and participate in technical demos with celebrities from the region. They will also hear from distributors, industry professionals and others.

Nina Daily is the Executive Director of PBA. She says, “While there are many excellent programs in the beauty industry for professionals to improve their skills, PBA understands the importance of education that emphasizes business and professional knowledge to help junior professionals succeed.” Our goal is to eliminate barriers such as long travels, expensive costs and time away from the workplace, while maintaining the highest standards of education. The Beauty Business Career Accelerator Series’ overarching goal is to support PBA initiatives to elevate, unite and serve the professional beauty industry.

The series will initially consist of four classes spread across the country. The stylists are encouraged attend the class at the location most convenient to them.
