On the red carpet of the Met Gala, the stars wowed with their nail designs and styles.
Nails.co.uk analyzed 25 nail trends from the Met Gala in 2023 by analyzing the number of Instagram posts that each trend received with the hashtag. This analysis revealed the grid-worthy nail looks.
What they found was:
Lil Nas X’s nails were the most Instagrammable at the Met Gala in 2023. It’s understandable that 3D nails, which are not a DIY manicure, is a look many rush to photograph and post on Instagram. Lil X’s nails were created by Temeka Jackson .
The night was also dominated by pearl nails. Lizzo also wore a 3D look, this time pearls. Her simple black mani was finished with 3D Pearls.
The Met Gala theme this year was “Karl Lagerfeld – A Line of Beauty”. Lagerfeld is known for his use of black and white with pearls, chains and layered beads, so this nail looks very in theme.
